There is no doubt that in few hours time the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will officially announce results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections. Though the elections couldn't be completed in some parts of the country due to little, little hiccups that occurred yesterday.
As card reader failed to work in some parts, while election materials was not available in other parts. Forcing the process to continue today.
However, since yesterday evening, all kinds of results have been flying about on the social media, as to who is leading who in the polls. Top members of the ruling party at the federal level (PDP) were said to have lose their wards; people like Chief Bode George, Musiliu Obanikoro, Gov. Segun Mimiko, Femi Fani-Kayode and co were mentioned.
But to counter these claims, PDP Chairman, Ahmadu Adamu Mu'azu took to his twitter handle (@muazuaa) earlier today, to urge party supporters to remain calm and disregard the 'fake' results flying about.
Mu'azu is not alone on this as Femi Fani-Kayode has tweeted on his twitter handle (@realFFK) to counter the earlier reports that he lose his ward in Ife. He said in his tweets that he didn't only won his polling units, but won all the local governments in Ife for President Jonathan.
Meanwhile, as Mu'azu and Fani-Kayode are busy counter people posting results on the social media, so also is Hon. Dino Melaye is posting results from his polling units and Kogi State general, on his twitter handle (@dino_melaye).
But in all these, who wins what at the end of the day will be determined by the INEC, as Nigerians are anxiously waiting for the general results to be announced.
