The extremists group known as Boko Haram that has been terrorising Nigeria in the last five years, killing thousands of people in series of attacks, on Saturday officially announced its marriage with 'Islamic States' militant group in Syrial and Iraq.
Leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau made the announcement through its Twitter account in an audio message, where he pledged that as from now on, the group will obey and loyal to ISIS militant group in all situations.
This new development is coming as Nigerian military is winning the war against Boko Haram insurgents, re claiming more towns from the grip of the terrorist group. Few hours before the Boko Haram pronouncement, the group had earlier carried out deadly attacks in three different locations in Maiduguri, Borno State capital. Where scores of people were killed through bomb attacks.
